Double Roller Granulator for NPK Compound Fertilizer Production
Usage: Double roller granulator is a fertilizer granulation machine that directly extrudes powdered materials into granules. Production capacity: 1-5t/h Granules Diameter: 2-10mm Granular Shape: Oblate or irregular Applicable Raw Materials: NPK compound fertilizers, compound fertilizers, chemical fertilizers, and mineral powders.
The double roller granulator is a piece of equipment that directly compresses powdered materials into granular fertilizer. It employs a dry extrusion process that requires no significant addition of water and no drying, and is widely used for granulating powdered materials such as NPK compound fertilizers, compound fertilizers, lime powder, bentonite, graphite powder, and coal powder. The equipment offers advantages such as high granulation efficiency, stable operation, robust construction, long service life, and easy maintenance, and can meet the continuous production needs of a wide variety of powdered materials.
Compared to other wet granulation equipment, the double roller granulator does not require a drying system, resulting in a simpler production process, lower energy consumption, and a smaller footprint, making it particularly suitable for projects with limited investment budgets or small- to medium-scale operations. The granules produced by this equipment are flat and round, typically ranging in size from 2 to 10 mm. The granule size can be flexibly adjusted by replacing the die according to production requirements. The granules are strong, resistant to breakage, and easy to package and transport. They are widely used in NPK compound fertilizer plants, compound fertilizer production lines, mineral powder granulation, chemical powder molding, and small-batch production, among other applications.
The standard production capacity of the double roller granulator ranges from 1 to 5 tons per hour, and you can select the appropriate model based on your production scale. Whether you plan to produce compound fertilizer or mineral powder granules, we offer customized solutions. Simply provide us with your target output, raw material types, site size, granule size, and process requirements, and our engineers will design an equipment configuration and production plan free of charge to help you achieve stable, efficient granule production at a lower cost.
Finished Granules
1. Uniform Granule Size Granules produced by the double roller granulator are of consistent size, with a particle diameter controllable between 2 and 10 mm, facilitating packaging, storage, and sales.
2. High Granule Strength 1. Formed through high-pressure extrusion, the granules have high density and are resistant to breakage, reducing losses during transportation and handling.
3. Regular Granule Shape The finished granules are flat and round, with a neat and attractive appearance, which enhances product quality and market competitiveness.
4. Low Dust and Minimal Material Return The finished granules have high integrity and low powder content, effectively reducing the material return rate and improving production efficiency.
5. Room-Temperature Granulation The double roller granulator uses room-temperature extrusion granulation, eliminating the need for high-temperature drying, which helps preserve the active ingredients and original activity of the raw materials.
Working Principle
The working principle of the double roller granulator involves using a pair of counter-rotating rolls to generate strong compressive force, which forces the powdered material into the pockets (or grooves) on the roll surfaces for shaping. Under high pressure, the material is compressed and densified into compact shapes or flakes, which are then subjected to crushing and screening to ultimately produce uniform granules. The entire process requires no water addition or drying. By adjusting the roller gap and pressure, the equipment can control the density and particle size of the granules. Additionally, different roller shells can be used to produce granules of various shapes.
Various Roller Shells
We offer a wide range of roller shells and can customize them to meet your specific requirements for granule shape and size. We will design a unique roller shell surface specifically for you, ensuring that your equipment consistently produces the granules you need. Whether you require flat-round, pillow-shaped, or rod-shaped granules, we can efficiently and reliably form them to meet your diverse and precise granule production needs. Additionally, the roller shells are made of high-chromium wear-resistant alloy or high-manganese wear-resistant alloy steel, offering high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and resistance to acid and alkali corrosion from fertilizers, ensuring a long service life.
