Introduction

The rotary drum granulator is a fertilizer granulation machine suitable for large-scale continuous production. It is primarily used to process powdered materials into spherical granules and is widely used in industries such as NPK compound fertilizers, organic fertilizers, chemical fertilizers, and mineral powders. It can process a variety of raw materials, including urea, monoammonium phosphate, potassium chloride, ammonium sulfate, and phosphate powder. It also handles fermented livestock and poultry manure (such as chicken, cow, and sheep manure), humic acid, and organic powders, as well as mineral materials like lime, bentonite, coal, and gypsum powder. During operation, the material continuously tumbles inside the rotating drum. Through the injection of steam, water, or a binder, the powder gradually aggregates into granules, enabling continuous granulation. This equipment features high output, a high granulation yield, the ability to operate continuously for 24 hours, a simple structure, stable operation, wear and corrosion resistance, and a long service life. Compared to other granulators, the rotary drum granulator is better suited for large-scale production lines, offering a high degree of automation and higher production efficiency.

The granules produced by the rotary drum granulator are spherical, aesthetically pleasing, and uniform in size, typically ranging from 2 to 10 mm in diameter. The rotational speed and tilt angle can be adjusted according to production requirements to achieve the desired particle size. The finished granules are highly durable, resistant to breakage, and easy to store, transport, and apply as fertilizer. With its stable, high-volume production capacity, this equipment is particularly suitable for large and medium-sized fertilizer manufacturers with an annual output of 50,000 metric tons or more. It can be widely applied in organic fertilizer production lines, compound fertilizer production lines, NPK fertilizer production lines, and mineral powder granulation projects, serving as a key piece of equipment for achieving large-scale, automated production.

The production capacity of a single rotary drum granulator generally ranges from 1 to 10 metric tons per hour, and the appropriate model can be selected based on different raw materials and process requirements. Whether for organic fertilizer, NPK compound fertilizer, or the granulation of various chemical and mineral powders, we can provide customized solutions. Simply provide us with the types of raw materials, site size, target output, and granule specifications, and we will select the appropriate equipment, design the process, and plan the production line based on your specific needs to create a highly efficient, stable, and cost-effective large-scale fertilizer granulation system for you.

Finished Granules

1. Smooth, Uniform Granules
The granules produced by the rotary drum granulator are regular spheres with a smooth surface and high roundness. This not only elevates the product’s aesthetic appeal and quality but also enhances market competitiveness, making them highly favored by end-users.

2. Consistent Particle Size
By adjusting the drum’s rotation speed and process parameters, granules ranging from 2 to 10 mm can be precisely produced. The uniform size of the finished product facilitates subsequent screening, packaging, and application, thereby maximizing overall product quality.

3. High Strength & Breakage Resistance
Granules formed through rolling granulation feature a dense structure and excellent compressive strength. They are highly resistant to pulverization during transportation, storage, and logistics, effectively reducing material loss.

4. Excellent Flowability for Easy Packaging
The smooth surface of the spherical granules prevents caking and ensures optimal flowability. This enables automated packaging and uniform spreading, thereby significantly improving fertilization efficiency and application effectiveness.

5. Uniform Nutrient Distribution & Stable Efficacy
During the granulation process, various raw materials are thoroughly blended, resulting in a perfectly uniform distribution of nutrients within each granule. This promotes sustained nutrient uptake by crops, improves fertilizer utilization, and enhances crop yield.
