Brown coal pelletizing is one application of the high-pressure double-roll granulation process. It involves compressing brown coal powder through the action of twin rollers, molding the powdered brown coal into spherical, cubic, or other granular forms. After molding, the qualified particles go through screening before entering the next stage of the process.

The brown coal pelletizer, as the main unit in the granulation production line, is divided into seven main stages:
